EmptyLemon job board celebrates 500,000 candidates registered

Direct employer job board EmptyLemon, which specialises in connecting candidates directly with employers, has hit a milestone of registering 500,000 candidates across all business sectors

Direct employer job board EmptyLemon, which specialises in connecting candidates directly with employers, has hit a milestone of registering 500,000 candidates across all business sectors.

“To register half a million candidates is a major step towards our goal to move towards building a pool of passive candidates who are not looking to change jobs now, but could be persuaded to move should the right job opportunity come along.  The jobs market has definitely moved more towards the candidate being in control of where they choose to work, so we are providing our employer customers with a value added service of a ready made candidate pool coupled with prominent employer branding”. states Phil O’Grady, Director

EmptyLemon, an anagram of Employment, was founded on Pancake Day 2010 in response to the growing trend of employers hiring internal recruitment or talent acquisition managers during the recession.  The job board is geared towards employer branding and does not allow recruitment agencies to advertise, giving internal recruiters a platform to enable their brand to stand out more than it would on a traditional job board containing jobs from agencies.

A typical EmptyLemon employer branded profile includes details of why to work for the company and can also include rich media including video, as well as embedded Twitter feeds from the company.  Candidates have an improved job seeking experience as they can engage directly with hiring companies.

EmptyLemon covers all sectors, with advertisers including Sue Ryder, Mitchells and Butlers, Priory Group, Barchester Healthcare and Corps Security.

Over the next few months, EmptyLemon is set to launch a new candidate parsing and matching solution which will further improve the candidate and employer experience by giving more targeted jobs and jobseeker information.  The EmptyLemon team has also grown from 6 to 10 since the start of 2015 in order to grow the number of companies advertising and candidate pool.
