HR appointments at senior management level

Two new appointments at DAS demonstrate the growing importance of Human Resources at a senior level. Following a reorganisation of the Senior Management team at the Bristol-based insurance company, former Resources Manager David Allen has been promoted to Assistant General Manager and Company Secretary. A Senior Manager in DAS for 13 years, David now has overall responsibility for all of the major resources in the company: finance, people, information and facilities, as well as Company Secretarial duties.

Karen Slaney, formerly Human Resources Manager, has also been promoted and now joins the Senior Management Team for the first time. Karen moved into HR from the Legal Advice Department where she specialised in employment law. She takes the role of Resources Manager, with responsibility for both HR and Facilities.
