Southend HR Company Launches world first online product for SME’s

Not content with setting the gold standard in providing HR consultancy, Practical HR has launched a unique world’s first, a bespoke online human resources facility for SME’s called Your HR Services.

The user-friendly computer system has been designed and developed in-house and offers its customers their “Very own custom HR website that is constantly updated for them”, says Practical HR Managing Director, Paula Fisher, adding: “It is like having your own easy-to-access, constantly updated staff handbook online (and much more). We developed it ourselves and it really is the only HR system of its kind for SME’s anywhere in the world.”

The Great Wakering-based firm has spent the last 18 months refining the product, to help small to medium-sized businesses safely navigate through the minefield of legislation covering employment. As Paula proudly explains, “We set ourselves the task of creating an easy to use, effective tool that removed the hassle, stress and frustration of managing a company’s HR documentation. We also wanted to make it affordable for SME’s. I am delighted to say, we’ve done it.” 

Your HR Services is tailored for each client, creating a clear way to communicate a company’s standards, policies and procedures to its staff. Importantly the site can be used by every member of staff so they can view content within their level of access.  It replaces the often printed handbook, and with its electronic forms and other functionality it also reduces paperwork, administration time and costs. 

The headache of trying to keep up with ever-changing employment law is removed as Your HR Service is regularly updated.  This may include updating policy documents or introducing new policies.  Staff are then informed of changes to the ‘employee handbook’ area by email; all done by Your HR Services.

There are also specialist modules available, covering topics like induction, staff appraisals, pensions and benefits. Basic modules including key HR policies and procedures and electronic forms – e.g. for holidays and sick leave – come as part of the standard package.

A number of Practical HR’s clients have been quick to have their own Your HR Online service built for them and have in return, been full of praise.
