Specialist Recruitment Publisher and Employer Branding Activation Experts Combine to Launch 'Employer Brand News'

Employer Brand News, the UK's newest and most innovative online publication dedicated to all things Employer Branding, has launched

Employer Brand News, the UK's newest and most innovative online publication dedicated to all things Employer Branding, has launched. Aimed at organisations looking to engage, attract, and retain top talent. Employer Brand News is a collaboration between Ecom Digital, the leading online recruitment publisher and Papirfly, the employer brand activation specialists.

Employer branding has progressed from being a nice-to-have to a must-have and is now firmly rooted at the top of the C Level agenda. But despite more than half of employers (59%¹) stating that employer brand management is key to their resourcing strategy, there remains a lack of easily accessible information to empower employers and help them make informed and actionable decisions regarding the future direction of their organisation's employer branding strategy.

Employer Brand News seeks to bridge this gap. It will serve as the primary online resource for employer brand, human resources and recruitment professionals tasked with managing and developing their organisation's employer brand.

Updated daily, Employer Brand News will provide readers with the latest news and insights from some of the leading commentators within resourcing industry, both in the UK and overseas. Topics will cover the entire spectrum of employer branding, from Acquisition of Talent to Zero-Based Employer Brand budget – all delivered in an easily accessible and immediately available format.

Commenting on the launch, Phil Owers, Managing Director at Papirfly said:

“The importance of a well-managed employer reputation has grown significantly, with two-fifths² of all UK businesses expected to have increased their expenditure on employer branding activities by the end of 2013. But with almost 1 in 3 of all UK employers reporting difficulties in attracting top talent combined with the expected escalation in the war on talent in 2014, the question is Will this be enough?”

“By launching Employer Brand News, we will be drawing upon our own expertise gained over a 20-year period of delivering employer branding solutions for some of the world’s biggest brands. This is an exciting concept that will not only provide immediate access to the highest quality and relevant content on a daily basis, it will also engage professionals and encourage them to share information with their colleagues and peers within the wider HR community. We are very excited about this and we are already seeing plenty of interest from employer brand professionals and recruiters alike.”

Mark Powney, Managing Director of Ecom Digital, added: “A strong employer brand should connect an organisation's values, strategy and HR policies to the corporate brand and ensure that potential employees see the organisation exactly how it wishes to be seen. But this can often be difficult to achieve. It is important to get your employer branding right from the start of the recruitment process and we believe that Employer Brand News will be an indispensable resource for anyone involved in managing this process.

“We have operated in this space for several years, and with the success of our flagship publication Recruitment Buzz and the increased demand for bespoke employer branding content, we saw an opportunity to work with Papirfly and develop something really special. We believe Employer Brand News will be an indispensable resource for anyone in the industry.”

Employer Brand News did a soft launch on 30th October and has already received an overwhelming response. The Ecom-Papirfly team aims to continue developing it to suit the needs of its readers.
