The Search Party launches its completed marketplace putting data science at the heart of hiring

Employers can now instantly leverage data science across 10 million candidates to find their list of perfect employees in seconds

After a year of beta testing, The Search Party is launching its completed marketplace platform to allow employers of all sizes to quickly and easily find and hire the best employees for their needs.

Ben Hutt, CEO of The Search Party commented: “Recruitment’s always been painful, time-consuming, expensive and horribly error prone.  This year, even with our beta site and the natural challenges associated with developing and learning from the errors of an interim platform, we’ve managed to facilitate hires in a fraction of the time usually taken and at a fraction of the typical cost.  Over the last 12 weeks we’ve totally transformed the technology platform to strip out all the unnecessary noise and friction in what is traditionally a very complex process.  Any service delivered via the Internet needs to be quick, easy, and present compelling value.  We’ve now achieved that and are thrilled with the look, feel and intuitive flow of the site. We’d like to think it will be a stunning solution for our users!”

“Straight from our landing page, employers can review entire career paths, seeing how different skills and experience develop during peoples’ careers.  It’s using insights gained by analysing more than 10 million careers where we can enable employers to become aware of their options when searching for people. We know from our marketplace that some of the best employees come from sources beyond what are the seemingly obvious.”

Recruitment Industry veteran Paul Lyons has applauded the relaunch of The Search Party and is using the platform to power his new online recruiting business, Heat:

“The Search Party is an amazing platform that has been completely remastered to create a wonderland of career paths, job families and an incredibly powerful and versatile search capability. With The Search Party, Australian employers and recruiters can meet at an agreeable price point, time frame and commitment level, allowing both parties to derive value.”

In recent months The Search Party has also welcomed on board Josh Rogers as a substantial investor, director and interim product and marketing executive. Rogers was also an early investor in Freelancer.com and Posse.com and is currently also Chairman of Ondi.com, a recently launched online marketplace for retail services. He brings with him extensive experience building businesses internationally and a specific understanding of online marketplaces.  Carthona Capital, a Sydney-based technology fund, has also recently become a shareholder in The Search Party, and is working with the management team to plan and execute international expansion in 2015.

The Search Party has over 10 million candidate profiles across the UK and Australia and has reduced the average time to hire from the industry average of 60 days to 10 days this year.  The business is working with hundreds of employers and partnered with more than 100 recruitment businesses and to date the Search Party has placed almost every type of role from executive assistants to CFOs.
