One of the UK’s leading jobs websites, totaljobs.com, is launching a new online campaign entitled ‘Job Academy’ to help young people find work. The campaign officially launches on Wednesday 2nd October.
As part of the campaign, five young people have been invited to a top secret location, with the aim of making them more attractive to employers, through advice from totaljobs.com and independent experts.
Viewers will get the chance to follow the candidates through an online mini-series hosted on the totaljobs.com jobseeker blog and on the totaljobs.com YouTube channel. The series aims to impart and guide young jobseekers on the skills they need to get the job they want and keep it. Each video will be less than 10 minutes long and is designed to be a resource for all jobseekers to use.
Totaljobs.com has brought in the expertise of Aimee Bateman, Founder of CareerCake.com, to guide the young jobseekers through the process, showing them how to interview like a pro. Life Coach, Annie Ashdown, will show them how they can boost their confidence, CV specialist Jerry Frempong will outline how they can bring job applications to life, and finally, Style
Guru, Kat Byrne will be on hand to give these jobseekers professional makeovers in advance of their interviews.
John Salt, Website Director of totaljobs.com says: “We know how tough it is for young people to find a job at the moment so we’ve decided to do something about it. Through Job Academy we’ll be making sure our five contestants will have all the help they need to get them moving up the career ladder. This takes hard-won skills and dedication and we hope our advice and experts will not only help the contestants, but also help young people up and down the country.”
The campaign has been brought to life by Advertising agency VCCP and will be extended through online media on sites such as Student Beans, Rough Hill and GRM Daily as well as through social media channels, YouTube and the totaljobs.com blog.
