Totaljobs.com offers recruiters option to advertise only to EU eligible candidates

Changes help recruiters to receive more suitable job applications for local roles

In an industry first in the UK, Totaljobs.com is today announcing new changes to help recruiters receive the most suitable applications for their roles. The totaljobs.com website allows recruiters to choose whether the jobs they post are visible to users with an IP address outside the EU.

Whilst some recruiters are keen to attract talent from around the world, some companies aren’t in a position to hire jobseekers that are ineligible to work in the EU. Totaljobs.com has developed a solution to give recruiters control, enabling them to choose whether a vacancy is shown to users with an IP address outside the EU when posting it on the site.

This new functionality puts the power back  into the hands of the recruiter, to control who is seeing their adverts and reduce short-listing time. It also improves the user experience for jobseekers outside the EU using totaljobs.com, as they can only see job content from employers who are able to hire them.

John Salt, Website Director of totaljobs.com, says: “We are always looking to help save valuable time for recruiters and jobseekers and make the user experience even better. We’re really proud to lead the market with innovations that help our clients find the right candidates.

This new update gives recruiters the ability to choose who they wish to advertise to - just one of the many things we do to help take the luck out of finding the right candidates.”

In a further site enhancement to provide recruiters with a concise and accurate short list, totaljobs.com has also invested in developments to restrict applicants from applying for the same job more than once. In a tough labour market, in which many jobseekers are completing a large number of applications in a short period of time, duplications are commonplace.

Totaljobs.com now notifies jobseekers if they’ve already applied for a role and restricts them from applying for it again.
