Today LinkedIn announced the launch of two new features - Talent Updates and Showcase Pages - to allow companies to enhance their employer brands and better engage talent with more relevant content.
Talent Updates, an addition to LinkedIn's flagship product Recruiter, allows recruiters to share status updates from within Recruiter with their Company Page followers and monitor engagement levels such as 'likes', 'shares' and 'comments'. They can then add engaged talent to a pipeline or contact them in more meaningful ways, increasing the likelihood of a response and hire.
Meanwhile, Showcase Pages, an extension of LinkedIn's Company Pages, allows parent organisations to create dedicated pages for their hero brands, businesses and initiatives, and segment and target different audiences with the relevant messages on the aspects of the company they are most interested in.
David Cohen, Director of Talent Solutions at LinkedIn, EMEA commented, "Creating valuable content to engage talent is a key element of successful employer branding. 70 per cent of company followers on LinkedIn are interested in jobs at those companies, but remain passive - Talent Updates and Showcase Pages will help companies bridge that gap, by enhancing the passive experience with highly targeted and relevant content."
Talent Updates are now available to all English-speaking Recruiter users, while Showcase Pages are available globally to all companies with a Company Page on LinkedIn.
