Barclays Corporate & Employer Solutions (C&ES) has recently completed work with LSL Property Services plc (LSL) to launch a revamped flexible benefits offering to help engage, retain and attract key talent.
LSL, a leading provider of residential property services which has over 5,000 employees across 19 different group companies including well-known brands such as Your Move, Reeds Rains and e.surv Chartered Surveyors, identified a need to overhaul its benefits package to ensure it was meeting the requirements of both its existing and future staff. It was apparent that choice and flexibility was vital for employees, as internal focus groups and surveys revealed that nearly two-thirds (64%) of staff wanted greater flexibility in their choice of benefits. A team of benefit consultants at Barclays C&ES worked with LSL to deliver a tailor-made solution that would meet the needs of its growing workforce.
As part of its broader strategic consulting services, Barclays C&ES provided LSL with a solution that uses Benefex’s RewardHub software, consisting of an online flexible benefits package which has been branded internally ‘ChoiceMatters’. The scheme includes tax-efficient benefits such as childcare vouchers, bicycles, mobile phones, dental insurance, health assessments and travel insurance which were offered through salary sacrifice arrangements.
Gareth Whalley, Head of Group HR Services at LSL Property Services said: “With the business growing and going from strength to strength, it is vitally important that we have the right support and benefits package in place, not only to attract new talent in an increasingly competitive market, but also to engage and motivate our existing workforce. The consulting team at Barclays Corporate & Employer Solutions was able to quickly understand our specific challenges, advise us on the scheme and then implement the solution - a great outcome, which has been well received by our employees.”
Paul Wilson, Head of Consulting at Barclays Corporate & Employer Solutions said: “As a fast-growing business in a soaring sector, LSL Property Services is rightly focussed on engaging and rewarding its employees. Through our broad and in-depth consulting approach, we were able to help LSL consider its benefits strategy in the context of its longer-term goals and ambitions, recognising the competitive environment and ensuring the solution is fit for purpose in attracting, engaging and retaining the best talent within the sector.”
