Monster Studios is a native app that enables talent acquisition, recruitment and HR teams to record, edit and publish video job ads from their smartphone in minutes. The video job ad enables recruiters and employer branding specialists to powerfully convey the benefits of a job opening, the employer’s personality, and the work environment. For candidates, it provides valuable insight into the role, work environment and business culture.
“Video job ads bring the workplace culture to life, help create strong emotional connections, and showcase the company’s brand and people,” said Scott Gutz, Chief Executive Officer, Monster. “We are committed to transforming the way employers and candidates find each other and work together, creating innovative solutions to get the right people into the right opportunities, every time. Monster Studios is an important step in transforming the way both sides interact with each other. Creating more honest and transparent conversations and interactions between employers and candidates is critical to making every workplace happier and more productive.”
Monster first announced Monster Studios in late 2018. Since that time, the app has been downloaded more than 2,000 times. In early 2019, 100 customers in the U.S. and more than 200 customers across Europe participated in a beta program.
“We are excited about bringing this new solution to our customers in Europe,” said Derek Jenkins, General Manager UKIE, Monster, “The initial feedback we’ve received from our beta customers has been overwhelmingly positive—they’re impressed by how easy it is to use and excited to include videos in their job descriptions. We strongly believe that this innovative solution will help our customers find better matches as they look to fill jobs at their organisation. It’s yet another way Monster can help them meet their hiring needs.”
Since launching in the U.S. in mid-April, more than 200 videos have been created and posted on job ads, with customers reporting an increase in applies to jobs after posting videos and an average video completion rate that exceeds Brightcove benchmarks.
Stefan Begall, Director Recruitment, Sweden & EMEA at Volvo explains: “We signed up to use Monster Studios because we think video helps us stand out and is more compelling than text job descriptions – and candidates can get a better idea or our company and culture.”
The initial release was targeted at North America supporting the Apple iPhone. With the global rollout of Monster Studios, the app is now available on the Apple iPhone in the U.S., U.K., Italy, Sweden, France, Netherlands, Canada (English and French), and Germany with Ireland, Belgium Luxemburg, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Czech Republic and Finland becoming available at the end of the month. Android will also be available to all supported countries at the end of the month.
