The Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) announces a new partnership with Vizibility Inc., which introduced the world's first SearchMe™ Button for Google earlier this year. The partnership will allow AESC member search consultants the ability to optimize Google search results for their name or firm name while also learning more about the service and how they can use it while researching candidates online.
Googling is now standard practice for professional and personal reasons, but until recently there has been virtually no control over what appears in the search results for your name. New data from Vizibility reveals that only 12% of search results based on name alone are accurate. The Vizibility SearchMe Button for Google allows the user to create and share the most accurate search results for themselves.
As the worldwide association for retained executive search consultants, one of our responsibilities is to identify new technologies that address critical challenges in our profession, said Peter Felix (http://vizibility.com/peterfelix), President of the AESC. Vizibility's technology addresses a critical pain point in finding and vetting information online, saving precious time and delivering accurate results. We look forward to also partnering with Vizibility on BlueSteps.com to help AESC members find accurate information on candidates as part of their research process.
AESC will provide all 6,000 members a complimentary 6-month subscription to Vizibility as a benefit of membership. Later in the year, AESC will integrate Vizibility into BlueSteps, the Association's global database of more than 60,000 senior executives. AESC member executive Recruiters looking for prospective candidates in the BlueSteps database will have one-click access to the most accurate search results.
The new findings from our Vizibility Meter™ underscore the challenges and risks facing job seekers and hiring professionals alike. In today's highly competitive market, it is critical to ensure that the most accurate information is easy to find, said James Alexander (http://vizibility.com/james), founder and CEO of Vizibility. Search consultants shouldn't have to be experts at Google search to be experts at executive search. The AESC's recognition of this challenge and their decision to integrate Vizibility is a great service to all their members.
The findings released today represent the current average Vizibility Meter score among the thousands of registered Vizibility accounts.
