DBSquared customers can now purchase its automated compensation system, DBCompensation, as a Web-based tool.
The application is now being offered in the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment, providing clients with faster speed and the ability to make updates quickly and easily. DBSquared will host the SaaS solution and manage the client’s database, freeing clients’ IT departments from day-to-day oversight.
Implementation of the new version can be done the same day of purchase. It is a quick and easy process that requires little or no IT involvement from the client organization. The SaaS model of DBCompensation will allow the primary users of the system to access their database anywhere they have their laptop and access to a web browser. Updates will be automatic and are based on client recommendations to enhance the application, as long as they do not interfere with the proprietary job description questionnaire and the job rating form. DBCompensation updates are typically made on an annual basis.
The SaaS model of DBCompensation was selected by clients as their preferred 2010 update. DBSquared offered two potential updates to clients and the Internet-based option was selected over a performance appraisal component in the latter part of 2009. A performance appraisal piece that integrates with the rest of the system is planned for the near future.
“DBSquared began as a Human Resources software and consulting company with a regional focus. As our clients grow and their needs change, we are making considerable investments to grow with them, domestically and globally,” said Megan Cherry, client relationship manager of DBSquared. “The SaaS model of our popular compensation management software is a big step forward for both our company and clients who rely on our solution. Additionally, this SaaS version offers us the ability to manage our tool instead of relying on our client’s organization.”
This application is designed for all organizations that want to ensure fair pay across the board. For smaller organizations, the application can serve as a primary HR database to maintain employee data. For larger organizations, DBCompensation is a complement to larger platform systems such as SAP and PeopleSoft, which do not offer an integrated job evaluation tool.
