Anne Corder Recruitment welcomes two new team members

It’s a sign of the economic times that independent agency Anne Corder Recruitment (ACR) has expanded its team to meet with demand.

Since appointing a new recruitment administrator in the summer, the agency has continued to operate at full capacity and has now taken on another two new members of staff.

With unemployment figures creeping upwards, there is more demand from candidates on agencies such as ACR. But the Greater Peterborough area is also seeing the number of vacancies increasing slightly which also means more demand from clients keen to find the right applicants.

ACR has now welcomed new recruitment partner Rosie Hooton and recruitment administrator Marie Rushton-Harrison to its office in Park Road.

Marie has herself been a victim of the market uncertainty over the last few years, having been made redundant three times.

“I have a level of empathy with some of the candidates I am now seeing from this side of the desk,” said Marie. “It’s a difficult market at the moment but, having been an ACR candidate in the past, I have complete confidence in the way the agency works which is what made the job so attractive to me.”

Marie, who lives in Eye, near Peterborough, is enjoying the variety in her new role.

“I’m doing a lot of support work for the temp team and also working on reception so there’s plenty to do,” said Marie.

Her fellow new recruit Rosie was also familiar with ACR before joining the team – the agency placed her in her very first job.

“I’ve worked in recruitment before and then went to work with the long-term unemployed in the government funded sector,” said Rosie. “I was keen to get back into recruitment without being involved in a high pressure sales environment. The way ACR does business was key for me – the agency genuinely wants to match candidates to the right role.”

Both Marie and Rosie are now settling into their new positions.

Anne Corder said: “To retain the service levels our clients and candidates expect from us we felt it was necessary to strengthen our team. We are delighted Marie and Rosie have joined us – and the fact we have dealt with them both in the past as candidates has helped them slot in perfectly to both their positions and our team.”
