de Poel Clarity – the independent and vendor neutral expert in managing temporary workforces in the NHS and private health and care sectors – has appointed Dame Gill Morgan to its advisory board.
Dame Gill is a distinguished figure in the healthcare sector, and is the current Chair of Alzheimer’s Society and Foundation Trust Network.
Having acted as the Permanent Secretary of the Welsh Assembly Government between 2008 and 2012, Dame Gill will provide the business with strategic advice, as it looks to grow its NHS client portfolio.
She said: “I’m delighted to be joining de Poel Clarity’s Advisory Board at such a significant time in its development in the healthcare market.
“Clarity’s product offering has the potential to save NHS Trusts millions of pounds, at a time when deficit is a very real possibility, and a significant number of hospitals are being faced with sizeable shortfalls.
“I hope my many years of first-hand experience and understanding of the NHS will provide Clarity with a greater understanding of how its services can benefit the industry.”
de Poel Clarity manages the relationships between Trusts and a select panel of recruitment agencies, by introducing clear, effective and cost-saving solutions. It was formed in July 2013 on the back of significant success handling the provision of non-permanent staff in the private health and care markets.
Andrew Preston, Managing Director of de Poel Clarity, commented: “We are privileged that Dame Gill Morgan has agreed to join our stellar advisory board, offering real insight and expertise, as we ramp-up Clarity’s new business drive.
“We are absolutely confident that her knowledge and vast experience in the NHS will play a significant part in our bid to help bring greater efficiencies in the procurement of agency workers, and look forward to a lasting working relationship.”
Dame Gill also previously acted as Chief Executive of the NHS Confederation and Chief Executive of the North & East Devon Health Authority.
de Poel Clarity acts as a vital link between Trusts and recruitment agencies, managing the procurement of non-permanent staff at all levels. Temporary staff range from Acute Medical Doctors, Psychiatrists, GPs, Nursing staff, Allied Healthcare Professionals, Medical Secretaries, Porters, Drivers, Caterers and Administrative and Clerical workers.
The service is supported by de Poel’s innovative software, e-tips®, which reduces handling costs, and provides Trusts with instant access to spend/hours/savings and recruitment agency performance data.
