The British Stammering Association (BSA) is a national organisation which offers support to all whose lives are affected by stammering across Britain. It aims to help people through various services including helplines, information, and resources; bringing people who stammer together both face-to-face and online; raising awareness, and lobbying for change. BSA's overall strategy and direction of its work are guided by its dedicated team of trustees. Leanne Pick, a Director of Purple HR based in Dorset, has been named as the latest trustee to join the nationwide association.
Despite stammering since childhood, Leanne has paved a successful career working as a leading HR Consultant. Leanne first worked as the practice manager for a well-known legal practise before founding Purple HR in 2010. However, whilst establishing herself and Purple HR as one of the South's best HR consultancy, Leanne has consistently campaigned for and supported the BSA.
Leanne Pick represents the BSA as a successful business owner, demonstrating that a stammer does not have to disadvantage those in the business world, and aims to help those who stammer ensure they have the resources available to succeed in their own careers.
