Akkodis Receives Prestigious Gold Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Award from UK Ministry of Defence

Akkodis, a global Smart Industry leader and part of the Adecco Group, is proud to announce that it has today been honoured with the prestigious Gold Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Award by the UK Ministry of Defence.

This accolade recognises Akkodis' outstanding commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community, including reservists, veterans, and their families.

The ERS Gold Award is the highest recognition given by the Ministry of Defence to employers who demonstrate exceptional support for the Armed Forces. It highlights Akkodis' proactive approach in promoting the benefits of hiring and assisting veterans and reservists, as well as its dedication to ensuring that service members are fully supported throughout their careers.

Key achievements that led to this recognition include:

  • Veteran Recruitment and Support: Akkodis has implemented dedicated recruitment programmes to attract veterans, recognising the unique skills and experiences they bring to the workplace. The company also offers tailored support across 190 units in the UK to help veterans transition smoothly into civilian roles, including a “guaranteed interview” scheme for those who meet minimum vacancy requirements and mental health support for veterans in need.
  • Reservist Support: Akkodis actively encourages and supports its employees who serve as reservists, offering flexible working arrangements and additional leave to accommodate their training and deployment commitments. It also supports the wider Forces Family including Cadet Organisations and service charities.
  • Community Engagement: Akkodis engages in a range of community initiatives to support the Armed Forces, including charity partnerships, fundraising activities, and volunteering opportunities.
  • Commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant: Akkodis is a proud signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant, pledging to treat those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, with fairness and respect in the community, society, and the workplace.
  • Helping Cadets to reach their full potential: Akkodis is actively working to expand its support to the cadet community. In collaboration with the Air Training Corps in High Wycombe, Akkodis will provide CV writing, interview skills training, sponsorship opportunities and employment for cadets.

"We are incredibly honoured to receive the Gold ERS Award from the Ministry of Defence," comments Fabrice Boyer, GSVP Global Operations, UK, CZ, CH & Nordics, Akkodis. "At Akkodis, we deeply value the skills, discipline, and leadership that veterans and reservists bring to our organisation. We recognise the contribution and sacrifices that those who serve make to uphold the Nation’s security, which is why we have long been dedicated to attracting them and their family members to our business and continuously strive to support their endeavours. This award reflects our unwavering commitment to the Armed Forces community and creating a workplace in which they can thrive."

The ERS Gold Award is a testament to Akkodis' ongoing dedication to upholding the values of the Armed Forces Covenant and supporting those who serve. Akkodis remains committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity and support for veterans, reservists, and their families throughout all its operations.
