Associated Newspapers Ltd (ANL), the publishers of the Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday, Evening Standard and Metro, and Associated New Media (ANM), its digital publishing division, today announce the launch of londonjobs.co.uk, a joint cross-platform venture.
The agreement will see the recruitment channel of This is London (www.thisislondon.co.uk) become a standalone brand and be re-named londonjobs.co.uk.
In addition, the Evening Standardís supplement Just the Job, which is distributed with the paper every Monday, will be re-branded londonjobs.co.uk. This will be effective from Monday 16th June. The londonjobs.co.uk branding will be used throughout the recruitment pages of both the Evening Standard and Metro.
The alignment of the online and offline brands, which traditionally have always been separate at Associated, will ensure greater synergy between offline and online media. There will be greater benefits for advertisers who wish to target job seekers in London and the South East through the powerful Evening Standard brand and the venture will offer consumers far greater choice thanks to the capacity of the Internet.
David Bostock, Channel Director, londonjobs.co.uk commented: ìWe are delighted that the londonjobs.co.uk brand will cover both offline and online media. There are obviously huge benefits for both parties. The online operation will continue to flourish with the marketing support and branding opportunities of the Evening Standard while the newspaperís readers will be able to reap the benefits of a much larger volume of jobs advertised throughout the week.î
