Autotime celebrates 30 years of time and attendance excellence

Birmingham based company Autotime Solutions is this year celebrating its 30th anniversary of being the UKís premier provider of workplace management solutions

Autotime Solutions is this year celebrating its 30th anniversary of being the UKís premier provider of workplace management solutions.

Autotime supplies a wide range of services and time & attendance products to help companies of all sizes to monitor their staff accurately and efficiently.

The company has come a long way since its humble beginnings back in 1977, when it traded from small premises above a shop on Warwick Road in Tyseley, primarily installing, refurbishing and maintaining electro-mechanical time recorders.

Moving to a larger industrial unit in Small Heath in the early 1980s, Autotime continued to grow and expanded into what was then ëstate-of-the-artí computerised time recorders. Far from what we know today, these computerised systems firmly placed the companyís direction in what would revolutionise the time and attendance industry, the personal computer.

Outgrowing the unit in Small Heath, Autotime moved again to their current premises in Digbeth, where they have been located for the past 15 years. During this time, the company has seen vast changes in technology and the business today has adopted and changed beyond recognition, focusing on high-technology products, including the latest biometric, GPRS and web linked solutions.

Since its inception, Autotime has introduced many product innovations including its very own Autotime Express and Premium software, both of which are widely used across various industry sectors.

Autotime are constantly looking at new technologies to keep up with the constantly changing demands of a modern workforce, and in the past year have successfully acquired Peckmore Electronics, Yorkshire Time and Midland Time Recorders and Dictation Services, to consolidate its position as a market leader in time and attendance and workflow solutions.

They have also formed strategic alliances with ESOS and Bconnected as well as a business partnership with SAGE to offer customers a greater variety of products and to drive new growth opportunities.

Autotime now works more closely than ever with its customers, sharing its expertise and experience in order for them to benefit from lower payroll costs, greater productivity and an improved bottom line.

ìWe are celebrating three decades of successes and are looking to the future with new ranges of technologies and an increasing range of services to suit our customers' requirements,î said Partner Sales Manager, Christian Berenger.

ìStaff are typically a companyís most valuable asset and also its biggest cost, so itís essential to manage them effectively. The traditional working week of nine to five from Monday to Friday is gradually becoming a thing of the past and because of this effective workforce management solutions are vital for every business. We see a bright future for the continued development of our markets and our product rangesî.

To coincide with their anniversary, Autotime has invested heavily in improving the companyís facilities and has undertaken a complete building refurbishment project at their premises. This has made for a much-improved working environment and has improved overall productivity.
