Chinas Sina launches online job-hunting service with ChinaHR

Internet portal Sina Corp has launched a new online job-hunting service with ChinaHR.com, one of the countryís largest online job recruitment companies.

íChinaHR, with Monsterís support in technology and resources base, is the perfect choice for Sina, which has been seeking to offer more professional online services to its users,í Sinaís president Wang Yan said at the launch ceremony of the new channel.

Nasdaq-listed Sina, which currently operates channels with corporations including Nike and Johnson & Johnson, is focusing on ívertical developmentí, Wang said, adding that the company is looking to widen its profit sources.

ChinaHR.com, in which US-based Monster recently bought a 40 pct stake for 50 mln usd, has a total base of 2.2 mln resumes and over 280,000 company members, it said.

Citing Shanghai-based Internet industry research company iResearch, Sina said the value of Chinaís online recruitment market is expected to hit 1.69 bln yuan next year, up from 550 mln yuan in 2004.

íOnline recruitment is becoming the new boost for Internet-based businesses, after online advertisements, wireless value-added services and online games,í iResearch said.
