East meets West - 10/2000

techies.com, a national network of local online career resources for technology professionals, today announced two appointments that establish online advertising sales teams on the West and East Coasts. The company has appointed Silicon Valley-based David Schajatovic, Vice president of Online Sales and New York-based Stan Berizzi Director of Online Sales, East Coast.

Schajatovic will oversee all online advertising sales efforts for the www.techies.com site. Berizzi will manage online sales efforts with businesses and agencies on the East Coast. Bedford Malpass, techies.comís director of Online Sales, West Coast, will continue managing the companyís sales efforts in the western United States.
The announcement of these appointments comes days after techies.com launched a national online advertising sales initiative for its site. The company, which has more than 575,000 technology members in 39 local city sites nationwide, had been offering online advertising on a selective basis since the beginning of the year.
