Enhanced web-based competency assessment system

Offers easy access to close the skills gap and increase productivity

Qwiz and NETg, a Thomson Learning business unit and the world''s largest provider of technology-based training, have partnered to offer a unique testing and training solution through their online platform, Qwiz Online.

A new technology, now available on Qwiz Online, enables companies to assess current and prospective employees on simulations of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook and then offer prescriptive training. After testing, targeted training can begin automatically or can be scheduled for a future time to help strengthen specific areas. Staffing organisations, recruiters, corporate HR departments, contact centres and others that use this self-paced and highly interactive training programme will save time and money because the training is targeted and accessible to workers via the Internet, anywhere at any time.

Qwiz and NETg are leveraging innovative technology to fill a growing need in the marketplace, said Noel Sitzmann, Qwiz president and chief operating officer. While companies cut training budgets, NETg training offers a cost-effective alternative. Future plans to capitalise on this powerful partnership include offering NETg Training for IT professionals.

According to a CUX 2000 (Corporate University Xchange) study, technology-based training will more than double in the next four years. Three-quarters of U.S. corporations indicate that anticipated cost savings drove their organisation to launch e-learning.
