Cyber Essentials Requirements
Developed by the UK Government, the Cyber Essentials scheme has been designed to help protect UK businesses by preventing the most prevalent forms of cyber-attacks and to make the UK a safer place to do business online. The Cyber Essentials Plus scheme provides a higher level of assurance, tested by an independent assessor.
Meeting the Standard
5 core controls Cyber Essentials accreditation focuses on:
- Boundary firewalls and Internet gateways
- Secure configuration
- User access controls and administrative privilege management
- Malware protection
- Patch management
Eploy recognise the importance of demonstrating to customers and prospects that they understand the need for a robust, secure IT infrastructure and systems through recognised certification. In achieving Cyber Essentials PLUS, it reassures customers of a thorough approach to safeguarding the protection of data.
Commenting on the accreditation, Mark Hobson, Chief Compliance Office said, “We wanted to take a higher level of assurance through Cyber Essentials PLUS, something very few of our competitors have done, to demonstrate our commitment to the security and protection of our systems and data.”
