HR Dept Central Office partnered with The HR Dept Bristol and The Health & Safety Dept Bristol to fundraise for Jessie May Trust, a charity based in the South West that cares for children with life-limiting conditions in their own homes.
Fintan O’Toole, who is 64 years old and the owner of The HR Dept franchise in South London, walked the 160 miles to Bristol, arriving at The HR Dept head office on Monday, 4 September. Fintan chose to raise money for Myeloma UK.
Fintan says, “I have been fortunate to own and manage a franchise for this national organisation for over sixteen years, and Head Office seemed like a fitting destination for the walk. In September, across the country, other franchisees took part in several community-based programmes for charities and other good causes. This ‘HR Dept in the Community’ initiative brought us all closer together.”
Network-wide, over £12,500 was raised for local charities.
Felicity Kenny is the Managing Director of The HR Dept,
“As a national franchise network, we wanted to find a way to support charities close to our hearts. It was great to see so many of our HR Dept business owners get involved in their local area, for what we hope will be the first year of many HR Dept in the community months.”
