JobJobbed.com launches onto scene

New jobsite

June saw the launch of the latest recruitment website serving the UK, www.jobjobbed.com, where there would appear to be a genuine initiative targeting and supporting training associations and Trade Guilds in attracting new entrants to their respective industries, as well as otherwise serving the business community. Rupert Ellis, the Principal of the business said: Having worked within the Retail, Banking and Insurance sectors and having serviced them from a recruitment perspective, I possibly realise better than most, the difficulties in attracting the highest calibre candidates to any businesses.

Job Jobbed is an interactive recruitment facility that services a wide variety of industrial sectors, but by extending its services to the numerous small to medium-sized businesses who see benefit from associating themselves with their local Business Link, Chamber of Commerce or Business Gateway, Job Jobbed feel that this positions their facility uniquely in terms of being able to expose those vacancies to a significantly wider audience and deeper skills-pool than any alternative available today.

Marketing for the site has already begun and while predominantly web-based, this will also include traditional publications as well as features on digital TV. Subsidised offers have currently been extended to all UK Business Links, Chambers of Commerce, Scottish Small Business Gateways, Invest, Northern Ireland and Business Connect in Wales. The facility has also been targeted at the Public Sector, Teaching and Police, as well as the more traditional sectors associated with Recruitment Agencies. Apart from being a medium for advertising for workers, the Job Jobbed site contains lots of advice and guidance written from the perspective of a small business and designed to assist in the recruitment process. There is also a wealth of support notes and advice for Candidates. Recruiters can choose to simply advertise their vacancies, search the siteís online database or deliver vacancies to interested parties via email. There are several advertising and sponsorship opportunities available also.

Web-based recruitment may well be a new concept for many small / medium sized businesses and may be one that they would not normally consider. The financial economies and geographical reach that this allows may be very appropriate to such organisations but I also understand the reservations that many businesses may have. I found that generally it was my clients running the smaller businesses that most needed the expertise that a professional recruiter could bring. Unfortunately, they were also often the least able to justify and incur the cost involved. This is why we have written to every branch of the UKs Chambers & Gateways and offered this facility to their members on a FREE OF CHARGE basis for at least the next 3 months!

Rupert went on to say: There is no such thing as a free lunch, but we would hope that this can at least be considered an appetiser for what opportunities are available to members.
