New look Gradunet relaunches with a mass of new site features
Gradunet, the graduate recruitment website, today announced the relaunch of its website at www.gradunet.co.uk. The site was completely redesigned after an extensive market research project to determine what both recruiters and students require from a graduate recruitment service, and has been substantially re-branded as part of the process.
The result is a site which not only allows recruiters to post job ads and wait for students to apply, but also proactively to search for graduates that fit their criteria, download CVs and contact them without disclosing the studentís personal details. Additionally, it can automatically email details of suitable new candidates as they join the site.
The new site has a suite of targeting products which lets recruiters only show vacancies or advertising to graduates that meet up to ten strict criteria, eliminating wastage. Gradunet has also upgraded its reporting system, allowing recruiters to track candidates throughout the recruitment process and providing detailed demographic information on who has been viewing vacancies.
As well as the site itself, Gradunet has comprehensively rebuilt the technology which powers its Online Careers Fairs, and launched a new product which it is calling ìOnline Post It notesî: these allow recruiters to place a message directly onto the homepage of a Gradunet user when they visit the site, and can be targeted by over 10 different criteria.
For students, apart from the obvious advantage of recruiters being able to search for candidates directly, there is a range of new site features and editorial designed to make the search for a first career simpler. There are also new online tools available, such as the JobSender, which automatically emails students with vacancies that match their skills as soon as they are posted.
Gradunet merged with studentUK, the UKís leading online student publisher, at the end of 2001 and the new site is built on the same platform as the flagship studentUK.com website. It also shares a user database with it, letting students move between the two sites without re-registration, and allowing recruiters to target studentUKís community of younger students as well as Gradunetís community of final year students and recent graduates.
Jose Adams, Chief Executive of Gradunet, said: ìWeíre delighted by the new Gradunet site: not only does it build upon Gradunetís reputation as the most accountable graduate recruitment site, but the site is now more usable, useful and attractive to potential candidates. Weíve also rebuilt the Online Careers Fairs and launched Online Post It notes, a major innovation. We asked both recruiters and students what they wanted from the site, and weíre confident that new Gradunet is not only the place where graduates and great jobs click, but where you can tell exactly who clicked and when.î
