Gareth has moved from his role as Managing Director of the internationally acclaimed London Business Innovation Centre (BIC), one of the most influential and successful businesses within the EU inspired network of Innovation Centres.

The recruitment industry faces numerous legislative challenges over the coming months with the proposed Agency Workers Directive at an EU level and the UK Government's review of the Employment Agencies Act and review of the legal status of workers.

Commenting as he began work this week, Gareth Osborne, Managing Director of the REC said:

The recruitment industry faces many legislative challenges at a time of economic uncertainty. My job is to ensure that government, business and workers understand the value our industry brings to them and the economy. The REC needs to broaden its membership and provide the services and value that members want. I believe my background in both running and representing businesses will stand me in good stead at the REC.
