No need for consultants to canvass for new business any longer, Ed Fowler explains how....

Canvassing for new job vacancies is a necessary evil for all recruitment consultants

Canvassing for new job vacancies is a necessary evil for all recruitment consultants. Without this part of the job, recruitment companies would stagnate and rely too heavily on existing accounts, yet Ed says they donít have to, would you and your colleagues mind not having to cold call companies for fresh job specs?

Ed Fowler, a recruitment consultant with over 5 years experience knows its new business that drives companies forward yet many consultants baulk at the idea of having to cold call companies, so why is Ed convinced they do not have to?

Its because Ed is now providing a service to all recruitment agencies which enables consultants to focus on what they do best, finding and matching candidates to jobs. If consultants spent more time on candidate sourcing and speaking to existing clients about their requirements, more placements are likely to be made. In addition with more time available to them consultants can arrange more company visits thus enabling them to fully understand their clients and in turn provide them with a highly successful service, time after time.

Ed is calling the service íVacancy Sourcerí whereby up to 50 companies would be ícold calledí per day from a list provided by the recruitment company.

Notes will be taken and a spreadsheet provided with the days activity and the outcome of each call, even if its simply íleft a message, call back in 2 daysí for example.

All information generated about recruitment activity is your recruitment agencies property and would never be used on behalf of other agencies or sold to a third party.

On speaking to companies the introduction would be Hello, I am Ed Fowler calling from íyourcompanynameí and terms and conditions, for your agency only, would be sent.

Once a job specification has been found you will be provided with it in full along with the company name, contact name, email address, web address, postal address and relevant phone numbers.

Finally, on successful generation of a new job specification a standard email would be sent to the company explaining who the consultant working the role is and that they will be calling to discuss the company environment, products etc ensuring that the right candidates are found.

Ed has received excellent feedback to date and meetings are already being arranged.

Bookings are now being taken for single days, consecutive days or full weeks and Ed is willing to discuss your requirements.
