The nominations process for the annual Interim Manager of the Year award begins today.
The award, which is sponsored by Interim Management recruitment specialists, PRAXIS, is now in its fifth year and seeks to recognise the best practitioners in both the public and private sectors. This yearís ceremony will take place at the Landmark Hotel in London on Friday 22nd September.
Last yearís overall winner was Gordon Mitchell who won the accolade for his role as Interim Chief Executive Officer for a bespoke shoe manufacturers. Gordon was engaged to lead a company restructure designed to increase profitability. As well as achieving this he went on to develop a government funded learning centre within the company to train employees and won funds from the EU to put several managers through MBA programmes.
As well as the overall award there are individual awards for specialists in Finance, Project Management, IT, Sales and Marketing, Human Resources and General Management. The winner of the overall award also receives a cheque for 1000 for the charity of their choice.
Nominations can be made in two ways: either by an employing organisation or by individual Interim Managers who can ëself-nominateí.
