Companies looking to hire despite the tough economy

Despite the daily doom and gloom about the economy, some companies are finding themselves poised for growth in 2009 and are hiring despite the recession.

LoadzaJobs.ie, Irelandís fastest growing recruitment website, is launching their Still Hiring 2009 Jobs Fair to showcase those companies looking to hire despite the tough economy.

The Jobs Fair will run for three weeks online at www.jobsfair.ie from Thursday 29th January and will feature career opportunities in a range of industries weathering the economic storm.

ìIt's critical for jobseekers to keep a sense of perspective about the downturnî, commented Michael Wallace, Commercial Director of LoadzaJobs.ie, ìbecause there are still companies hiring; unfortunately just not as many as 12 months ago.î

In addition, an uncertain job market calls for a robust career management plan. www.jobsfair.ie will feature a Career Advice section dedicated to up-skilling or re-training for an entirely new career, with tips from industry experts and a career surgeon on recession-proofing your job.

ìWe have launched the website to help people around the country to outsmart the recession by topping up their skills and acquiring new ones. The economic crisis has made upskilling and reskilling an imperative for those facing redundancy and the possibility of unemploymentî, explained Mr Wallace.

Jobsfair.ie will give jobseekers access to all the benefits of a traditional jobs fair without having to leave home. They can log onto the fair, seek salary information, read industry profiles, watch videos, listen to career audios, leave CVs, register for online courses, and of course search and apply for jobs with some of Irelandís leading employers.
