The SENAD Group, owners of residential schools for children with special educational needs, has bought HR software from Snowdrop to manage the HR information of over 1000 employees across 12 UK sites.
SENAD will implement Snowdropís Evergreen (personnel records management) module to be accessed by the six members of its HR team.
With Snowdrop, HR hopes to reduce the level of time-consuming administration associated with HR tasks, including: setting up new employees, monitoring attendance and safeguarding checks, such as Criminal Record Bureau disclosures. Previously all records were stored manually, which meant that keeping files up-to-date proved labour-intensive and inefficient.
Snowdrop will also allow more robust monitoring and reporting systems for analysis of employee data. As a Group, SENAD is heavily inspected in its education and care settings. Snowdrop will allow the easy production of specific reports, in terms of the profiles of staff and their training & development, such as relevant NVQ qualification paths. Not only will this mean sound reporting to inspectors, it will also aid internal continuous improvement.
Through swifter access to employee information, the HR department can now drive SENAD forward with national accreditations, such as the Disability Awareness Symbol, for which HR requires the necessary information at its fingertips.
One of the main drivers for choosing Snowdrop was seamless integration with Sage Payroll. As SENAD operates Sage Payroll across all locations, it was imperative to select a supplier that could offer this. As a division of Sage, Snowdrop now integrates with Sage 50, Sage Line 500 and Sage 1000 Payroll as standard.
Victoria Finn, Group Human Resources Manager for SENAD comments: ìI am looking forward to the implementation as it will give the SENAD HR team the time and quality of information to be proactive in many areas, including manpower planning, pay audits, absence monitoring and recruitment profiles. As we continue to move our service forward, this can only serve to benefit line managers and the Group as a whole.î
