Panlogic has been working with City and Guilds, the UKís leading provider of vocational qualifications, to create an online application that will allow perspective students to make a more considered decision about the career that they wish to pursue. The aim of the tool is to help students match their personalities with a profession. The previous system in place wasnít as in depth as it might have been and as such it was felt that there was room for improvement both in the nature of the questions asked as well as in the career choices returned. The new and improved application will better match individualís personality traits with an occupation so that they can choose a vocational course that is more suited to them, thus helping them gain a competitive edge in a profession that matches them on a deep personal level.
ìOur website is the first port of call for most, if not all, students who are considering partaking in a vocational course. As the major provider of vocational courses in the UK we have an opportunity to help school-leavers decide if they want to go down an academic or vocational route. Panlogic approached this task from a user-centric perspective and worked with a career counsellor to arrive at a solution that is both credible and engaging for the young adult,î commented Nigel Moore, group marketing manager, City and Guilds.
