WebCenter5, the Latest Web Portal Version by TempWorks Software, Offers Valuable Enhancements and Incorporates New Microsoft Releases.

TempWorks Software, the innovative developer of staffing software solutions, today unveiled WebCenter5, the latest release of its web portal product. The new version utilizes .Net 2.0 to deliver high demand features and Windows Workflow to drive back-end approval processes.

The TempWorks WebCenter provides the staffing firmís clients, employees and subcontracted staffing agencies real-time access to information, all while integrating to the core TempWorks database. A depot for essential, time-sensitive information, users can view, post and approve data with the click of a mouse.

TempWorks incorporated the latest Microsoft technology available to create WebCenter5. .Net 2.0 was utilized to rewrite the application and Microsoftís Windows Workflow was employed to deliver enhanced approval processes. WebCenter5ís online timecard data directly integrates with the core TempWorks payroll system, automatically feeding the data to the proper destination for immediate proofing and processing.

In addition to improved functionality, customers will be pleased to discover several new features that were popular requests, made possible by the new .Net 2.0 platform. Users will now benefit from increased timecard flexibility such as enhanced customization options, new ways of inputting hours for various situations, multiple pay code options and rounding functionality, just to name a few. A more intuitive, user-friendly interface results in easier navigation throughout the application.

The innovative Web Services Development Team at TempWorks re-wrote the original WebCenter application over the past six months, using .Net 2.0 to create a new platform for WebCenter5 and all its components. In the area of reporting, SQL Reporting Services is set to replace the previous Crystal Reports. A Microsoft product, SQL Reporting Services fits in seamlessly with TempWorks development. Easier to use and install, it can be utilized by anyone to create and schedule reports against a TempWorks database.

TempWorks began exploring Windows Workflow a few months after its Beta version release in September of 2005. Serving as a back-end engine that guides the timecard and approval process, Windows Workflow automatically recognizes where to direct a process from start to finish without the need for manual/human interaction, all based on predetermined rules coded within the system. It allows for unlimited, easy modifications to a customerís set of workflow processes. Customers can even create or change a workflow process that tailors to each of its clients unique business needs.

Striving to maintain its position as a leader of integrated staffing solutions that promote a streamlined workflow environment, TempWorks has several development plans set for launch in the next six months. WebCenter5 will ultimately offer full integration with other TempWorks modules such as Applicant Portal, Vendor Management, Mobile applications and WebCenter IV (Interactive Voice). Bilingual capabilities were built into the backbone of WebCenter5, and a Spanish version of the web portal is in the works.
