The Human Capital Institute and Babson College Feature Neal Thornberry at Networking Breakfast

.

The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a global professional association and educator in talent management strategies, and Babson Executive Education, consistently ranked among the worldís top executive education providers, announced today that Neal Thornberry, Babson College Professor and author, will speak at a networking breakfast on Babsonís campus. This session is the third in HCI and Babson Executive Educationís ongoing Human Capital Leadership Series for the Greater Boston business and professional community.

Dr. Thornberryís presentation, based on his recent book, Lead Like an Entrepreneur, will illustrate how corporate managers can overcome bureaucratic impediments and cultivate leadership skills to move the organization onto a direct path of growth, renewed energy, and spectacular serial successes. Encouraging innovative and risk-taking leadership creates substantial benefits, says Thornberry. It only takes a few such people within an organization to make significant differences to the top and bottom lines.

The event, sponsored by PreVisor, will take place in the Babson Executive Conference Center at Babson College in Wellesley, Mass., on Thursday, June 1, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. ET.

The most successful corporations are those that cultivate an entrepreneurial approach to business, said Allan Schweyer, HCIís Executive Director. At this session, Neal Thornberry will show that it is possible for every organization to tap into this kind of creative leadership and add tremendous value.

Neal Thornberry holds a doctorate in Organizational Psychology and is a faculty member in the Department of Management and Organizational Behavior at Babson College, where he has developed and taught courses in the MBA curriculum and the undergraduate programs. He is currently a full-time faculty director at the Babson School of Executive Education. He is also an adjunct faculty member of Ashridge Management College in the U.K. and a visiting professor with ESCP University in France.

Thornberry is president and founder of Impact Strategies, a consulting firm specializing in organizational change, strategy, implementation, the development of leaders, and entrepreneurship within a corporate environment. Clients include SmithKline-Beecham and The Home Depot, among others.

Neal Thornberry is the author of numerous business management articles and case studies. His work has been widely published in the United States and Europe in such magazines as Fortune, IndustryWeek, and European Management Journal.

There is no charge for the Babson event, and it is open to the public. Interested professionals should call 866-538-1909 to register.
