The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a global professional association and educator in talent management strategies, and Franklin University, a Columbus-based educator known for its focus on providing educational opportunities and choices for working adults, announced today that Allan Schweyer, Executive Director of the Human Capital Institute, will speak at the third program in a series of Human Capital Innovation events for the central Ohio business community.

The networking breakfast event will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2006, from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM ET, on the Franklin University Columbus campus in the Richard M. Ross Auditorium, 301 E. Rich Street.

Schweyerís presentation, The Impact of Talent on the Global Competitiveness, explores the critical role global talent and human capital plays in defining the future for ourselves, our children, our organizations, communities, and the nation.

The session will open with Schweyer illustrating that how individuals, organizations, and communities respond to the forces of demographics, globalization, education, and performance/innovation determines success or failure. Schweyer will then examine key industries and occupations in the greater Columbus economic community against these forces. He will also discuss what needs to be done by all stakeholders in organizations and the community to protect and improve quality of life through advanced human capital management.
