The Learning and Skills Council (LSC) have signed an agreement with FE Careers and FE News for a national recruitment campaign. The LSC is responsible for funding and planning Further Education and training (except for higher education) for 6 million people aged 16 and over in England, providing funding to FE Colleges, NVQ Training Providers, Adult Education providers and FE related charities.
FE Careers provide recruitment advertising services across the entire Further Education sector, Vocational Learning, FE College, Awarding Bodies, specialist FE and NVQ Recruitment agencies, and now the Further Education funding body for England.
The initial news is that the LSC FE Careers and FE News campaign will consist of approx 200 senior management and LSC Director job vacancies advertised on FE Careers. This will be bolstered with button advertising on FE News and FE Careers, and banner advertising on a monthly FE News e-magazine sent to the Association of Learning Providers (ALP).
FE Careers and FE News have been enjoying a really successful 2006. They have had record numbers of visitors; FE Careers has been continually signing a wide range of Work Based Learning and FE job advertisers. FE News and FE Careers have been totally booked out for the first 6 months of 2006 for their dedicated banner advertising, and currently have a waiting list for the second half of the year.
Gavin the CEO of FE Careers and FE News comments on the LSC campaign ìWe are really excited to be working with the LSC on their national recruitment campaign. This will be really exciting news for our FE Careers job seekers and FE News readers. The LSC is one of the most prestigious organisations to work for in the Further Education sector, we know that they will receive a really positive response from our visitors.î
ìWe have really enjoyed 2006 so far. We have exceeded 1 Million hits and FE Careers is continually exceeding 10,000 unique visitors per month. Our dedicated banner advertisements on Careers and News have been booked out for all of 2006 so far, we have had to turn away clients who have not been able to get back to us in time. I have mixed feelings that we have had to turn away advertising clients who wanted our dedicated banner service, it is both frustrating and yet highly encouraging that advertising on our sites has become so popular. We have waiting lists for the later half of the year.î
The LSC national recruitment campaign with FE Careers and FE News will be an initial 2 month campaign starting later on this week.
