TheLadders.co.uk to Run First National TV Campaign in January

Executive Careers Site Aims to Woo New Year Jobseekers

TheLadders.co.uk, the careers site catering exclusively to executive jobseekers, will launch its first national TV advertising campaign on 11th January targeting 50K plus executives across the UK.

The national campaign will communicate how, by working with a specialist executive site like TheLadders.co.uk, job-seekers can cut through the many advertised job roles to find the best opportunity for them. The campaign will run across major terrestrial and digital channels during January and February, with the aim of reaching fresh jobseekers who enter the market each New Year and those executives whose employers have been affected by the downturn.

The campaign which consists of a series of 30 second spots has been created by Fallon. Zenith Optimedia has been appointed to handle media buying and planning with a brief to target ABC1 30-55 year old executives. The campaign will feature on ITV, Channel Four, Sky, Bloomberg and across the regional network, with strategic placements around Premiership Football and International Cricket.

We have secured a strong foothold in the UK online recruitment marketplace,î says Derek Pilcher, TheLadders.co.uk Managing Director and previously Sales Director of monster.com. ìWe already have over 150,000 registered and active subscribers, however we realise that there are many new senior executives now in the market who we will reach out to for the first time.î

He adds We have planned for our January TV campaign to deliver substantial reach to our core demographic - the 50k jobseeker with a heavy focus into the business channels across the UK - reaching them at the right time with the right message. The scale of investment into the UK further demonstrates TheLadders.co.ukís commitment to the UK, following the significant success we have experienced in growing our jobseeker membership in the US to 2.1m.

TheLadders.co.uk, which specialises in jobs and career services for senior executives earning an annual salary of 50K or more, is the first niche careers site to use a mainstream TV campaign to boost awareness. Using mainstream channels such as ITV, Channel Four and Sky, the site hopes to further accelerate the UK consumer awareness of its hi-end careers service.

The Ladders.co.uk is owned by TheLadders.com which has been operational in the US since 2003. Since its launch, TheLadders.com has dominated the U.S. executive job market, rapidly becoming the leading online service for $100,000 jobs.

Like the U.S. version of TheLadders.com, TheLadders.co.uk uses channels dedicated to verticals within the 50,000 job market, including Technology, Finance, Human Resources, Law Consulting, GM and Operations offering a range of career services including CV critiquing and career advice, trend data and market reports. To ensure that only qualified executives enter the job applicant pool, an in-house team of experts will screen every online CV prior to granting member status.
