Vangent Signs On as Top Sponsor of HCI's First-Ever Talent Management Forum for Government

.

The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a professional association and think tank advancing the science of strategic talent management, and Vangent, Inc., a leading provider of results-oriented human capital and talent management solutions, announced today that Vangent is a top sponsor of HCI's first-ever Talent Management Forum for Government, a leadership event for government human capital and personnel leaders and their teams.

Vangent is supporting and participating in the HCI event, created exclusively for federal organizations, which will be held in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008.

Vangent, with its rich heritage in workforce optimization, is a great complement for the topics being presented at the Talent Management Forum for Government, where federal talent professionals will network with one another while they learn vital, effective human capital practices, said Allen Zeman, President of HCI Government Solutions.

The forum, to be held at Gaylord National Resort Hotel and Convention Center in Prince George's County, Md. on the Potomac River, will bring together human capital professionals who are transforming talent management in their government organizations for a full day of learning and networking, followed by a high-impact, post-forum networking reception. Participants will attend keynote presentations and 90-minute learning sessions that include real-world case studies, practical knowledge and effective strategies.

Keynote speakers at the event include Paul Light, NYU Professor of Public Policy, and Congressman James Moran, 8th Congressional District of Virginia.

Vangent will present a special session titled, Building and Implementing the Adaptable Human Capital Plan. Moderated by Allen Zeman, scheduled presenters and panelists include Major General David Rubenstein, U.S. Army Deputy Surgeon General; David Forman, HCI Chief Learning Officer; Col. Chip Pierce, Office of the Surgeon General; and Allan Schweyer, HCI Executive Director and SVP Research.

Combining expertise in talent acquisition, development, and planning with a working knowledge of the federal government landscape, Vangent understands the specific business practices and talent management strategies that are most helpful for federal professionals, said Dave Fall, Vice President, Government HCM Solutions of Vangent. We're proud to lend our experience and expertise to HCI's federally focused Talent Management Forum.

HCI's 2008 Talent Management Forum for Government presents an ideal professional development opportunity for Chief Human Capital and Personnel Officers; Directors of HR, Manpower, Personnel and Training; and HR and Program Managers and Analysts.

All-inclusive event registration is $199. For more information on the 2008 Talent Management Forum for Government, or to register for the forum, visit www.humancapitalinstitute.org or call HCI Member Services at 866.538.1909.
