WestLB, the financial services provider, has selected Ceridian Centrefile to provide employee effectiveness services to its UK workforce. This investment in their people will help employees to manage issues in their everyday lives, assisting them to be more productive in their work.
The LifeWorksô OneSource service is available to over 1,000 permanent WestLB employees in UK, providing a traditional employee assistance programme (EAP) combined with work/life services. It offers help and support on issues including work/life balance, family, finances, health and emotional well-being. The service is available by telephone, email, or online, and includes access to helpful publications and a wealth of web-based information.
Julia Brooks, HR director at WestLB, says:
ìThis is the first time we have offered such a service to our employees, and they are already finding it of great benefit. Financial services can be a very hectic and stressful environment, so by helping our staff to manage their personal lives we increase productivity and improve employee satisfaction. As well as forming an attractive addition to our benefits package, it is generating a positive return on investment for the Bank.
ìWe chose Ceridian Centrefile because their service offers so much more than a traditional EAP: we particularly like the creativity of the published material and the quarterly updates which are sent to remind our people about the service.î
Larry Byrne, director of Ceridian Managed Services, says:
ìIn todayís competitive environment, every business relies on the engagement of its employees to be successful. Companies like WestLB, that invest in their people, reap the rewards through reduced absenteeism, and improved productivity, commitment and retention.î
