WindIndustryJobs.com, the first website exclusively for worldwide jobs in the wind energy industry is now online at http://www.windindustryjobs.com.
The specialist recruitment site was launched today by Haymarket Media Group, publishers of leading international wind energy business magazine Windpower Monthly, the ENDS Report environmental journal and ENDSJobSearch.co.uk job site.
Phil Manley, publishing director of Windpower Monthly, said: ìWindIndustryJobs.com sets itself apart from other renewable energy recruitment sites, because it is global, and it focuses on the wind energy sector alone.î
The launch comes as the global wind market is expected to continue rapid and strong growth. The Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC), a non-governmental body, has predicted that the market will grow by more than 155 per cent by 2012.1 The global wind power industry currently employs around 200,000 people and has an annual turnover of 18 billion euros.2
WindIndustryJobs.com expands the Windpower Monthly portfolio, which already includes a monthly magazine for subscribers in more than 55 countries and is backed up by a website and a quarterly publication, WindStats Newsletter, featuring technical data for the industry.
Haymarket announced plans to launch new products and services for the wind industry when it acquired Windpower Monthly in June 2008. Stephen Farish, managing director of Haymarket Professional, said at the time: ìHaymarketís existing operations in the US, Asia and Germany give us a strong foundation for growth in some of the largest existing wind energy markets.î
Europe is currently the leading market for wind energy, but in 2007 wind energy capacity grew by 156 per cent in China and 45 per cent in the US.1
WindIndustryJobs.com features vacancies at all levels and experience for the entire wind power sector, including wind farm management jobs, wind analyst and modelling jobs, and turbine design and construction. It uses the latest functionality to allow jobseekers to get vacancies by email or RSS feeds, make online applications and save shortlists of vacancies. Recruiters can manage their own vacancies online in the recruiter zone, where they can post vacancies at any time by credit card, get up-to-date information on their campaign performance and browse the online candidate profile database.
