The study of 2,000 working professionals also found that workers in social care (85.2%), distribution (70%), automotive (68.2%), construction (66.7%) and education (63.3%) are most likely to believe that their jobs will no longer be around in 30 years’ time.
The study went on to look at jobs that might be available by 2050 and asked respondents to select which out of the following seemed most appealing to them, with the top 15 ranking as follows:
- Body Positivity Expert (22.6%)
- Space Tourism Guide (21.3%)
- Air Traffic Drone Controller (18.6%)
- Extinct Species Revivalist (17.1%)
- Artificial Intelligence Teacher (17%)
- Influencer Lecturer (16.2%)
- Robot Liaison Officer (14.3%)
- Ethical Technology Advisor (14.1%)
- Personal Content Curator (13.7%)
- Digital Detox Therapist (12.9%)
- Social Media Purger (12.1%)
- Plastic Erosion Specialist (9.9%)
- Meme Expert (9.4%)
- Holographic Avatar Designer (7.2%)
- Brain Implant Specialist (6.9%)

In addition to this, CV-Library asked respondents to state which jobs they feel are most likely to emerge in the future, with Air Traffic Drone Controller (29.3%), AI Teacher (26.9%) and Body Positivity Expert (22.3%) emerging as the top three.

“Given that drones and AI are already technologies that are operating in the market; and with body positivity being such a big topic right now, it’s no wonder that Brits see these job roles as most likely to come to fruition. A lot of these area might simply become part of an existing job, so it’s important to keep on top of what’s happening in the industry you work in.”
