Global digital recruitment group, Evenbase (www.evenbase.com), today announces the appointment of Alex Charles as Product Strategy Director.
Alex’s appointment coincides with the Evenbase 1st anniversary and reflects the group’s readiness to explore the full potential of its world class technology and talent.
Alex joins from Broadbean (www.broadbean.com), an online recruitment software provider and part of the Evenbase portfolio, where he was the Global Chief Technology Officer. As well as an on-going involvement with Broadbean, Alex will be responsible for the Evenbase product strategy, reporting into Strategy Development Director, Felix Wetzel. He will also support management and product teams across the Evenbase portfolio in the delivery of their business plans and the international expansion of key group assets.
Felix Wetzel comments: “It’s awesome to have Alex step into this new role. Not only is he already part of the Evenbase family, he shares a similar passion for technology and the desire to look beyond the obvious.
“We’re exceptionally proud of our progress in our first 12 months, but have ambitious targets for international growth and redefinition of business synergies across the portfolio. 2013 is when we’ll start bringing all the pieces together with Alex’s help.”
Alex Charles comments: “I’ve always been most passionate about the ‘what & why’ of product development so this new role suits me perfectly. This is the most exciting period of change I have seen in this industry and I’m very happy to be in a position to shape some of its future through the impressive portfolio of products that Evenbase has established.”
In a 20 year career, Alex started as a software developer building HR, financing, banking and management systems for companies including the Bank of England and NatWest. In 2000, he founded and gained VC backing for iProfile. Over the next 10 years, iProfile developed a reputation for innovative technology and software development in the exploding world of online profiles and changing candidate behaviour.
Alex has also served on the Board of the HR-XML consortium, a not for profit global organisation leading HR data standards, and as co-chair for the APSCo Technology leaders forum.
