Let us dive into all the things you should know before playing a game of craps in the dark!

If you want to learn how to play Street Dice online or in real life, then this article is for you! Let us dive into all the things you should know before playing a game of craps in the dark!

A History Lesson

Common names for the dice gambling game Street Dice include “Street Craps” and “Shooting Dice.” Playing Street Craps is identical to playing craps indoors, with the exception that you don’t need a table. The Downtown Grand Casino in Las Vegas was the site of the game’s debut in 2014.

The term “sidewalk” refers to the fact that the game was originally played in public places such as streets and sidewalks. Predicting the outcome of a roll of two dice is the object of Street Craps.

A Glossary of Terminology

Learn the essential Street Dice terms first so you can have fun:

  • Shooter - The person responsible for throwing the dice.
  • Bounce - A barrier should be present that causes the dice to bounce after being thrown.
  • Fingers: This means you shouldn’t have any of your body parts in the shooting area.
  • Making a Point: When the die is rolled, and the number 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 is the result, the point is made.
  • Don’t Pass: If a bettor thinks the dice will come up 2, 3, or 12, they can place a “Don’t Pass” wager.
  • Crap Out: When the dice come up 2, 3, or 12, it’s a crap out.
  • Side Bet: An additional bet placed before the start of play.

How to Play Street Dice

Craps, or “street dice,” is a variant of the dice game that is commonly played in more casual settings. To play street dice, all you have to do is roll two dice and place a bet on the result. When using two dice, the player wins if the sum of the numbers they roll is seven or eleven.

The player loses the wager if the resulting number is a 2, 3, or 12. A point can be made with any other total besides seven, and it must be repeated before a seven is rolled for a player to win. Bets can be placed on either the player’s own roll or on another player’s roll.

While any number of people can play a game of street dice, the optimal number of players is between two and four. One player must take the role of “shooter” to initiate a game of street dice. Players can wager on the result of the shooter’s roll of the dice. It will then be the other players’ turn to throw the dice. All other bets are lost, and the shooter keeps theirs if they roll a seven or eleven.

The shooter forfeits their bet, and all other players win if they roll a 2, 3, or 12. If they roll a seven, they lose and have to reroll to try to equal their point.

Conclusion

That’s all you need to know to enjoy a game of craps! All that’s left is for you to find one for yourself, so hop to it!
