Student Debt Reduction Scheme

thestudentzone.com has announced the backing of the SDRS (Student Debt Reduction Scheme) by Barclays Bank PLC, in association with Jobszoo.com Ltd.

As of September 2002, a pilot scheme will be set up by The Student Zone and Barclays Bank in association with Jobszoo.com Ltd to run in one college and one university for three months. The outcome of this pilot will determine the future of this unique concept. If the pilot proves to be successful, it will be officially launched in September 2003 throughout the UK and will aim to reduce student debt by at least 50% over a period of time.

The scheme will be open to all students within the UK Further and Higher education system from September 2003.
