The results of the IQPC Exchange / Enhance Media Benchmarking Study 2002 make positive reading for the online recruitment industry. The results show that the use of job boards is up year on year with respondents now advertising on an average of 3.3 job boards, compared to an average of 2.5 one year ago. The results also show that online recruitment spends have increased in the last year, up from an average of 21,000 to 26,700.
The Benchmarking Study was conducted for the second consecutive year by Enhance Media on behalf of IQPC Exchange. The research was carried out at the recent IQPC E-HR Exchange, which was held on 26th and 27th June. The Exchange bought together over one hundred of the UKs leading HR professionals and suppliers for two days of workshops and discussions regarding the use of technology in the HR profession.
As well as showing increasing spends; the study also showed that satisfaction with return on investment was up. 56% of HR professionals thought they had received a good return on their investment in online recruitment, while the percentage of managing directors and finance directors who were satisfied with the return on their investment has doubled from 21% to 42% in the last 12 months.
The survey also found that integrating backend technology in order to manage the recruitment process more efficiently was the most important issue facing online recruitment for the second year running.
