Manpower, one of the world''s leading recruitment and outsourcing company''s, has been awarded the prestigious title of Business Superbrand in Denmark - a market
where the company''s innovative approach to work creation has generated thousands of new jobs and helped Manpower outstrip market growth.
The Danish panel of the international organisation Superbrands, which recognises brands that are the most admired in their sector, made the award.
The Superbrands Council is made up of luminaries from Danish business, including representatives from advertising, management consultancy, banking,
manufacturing, research, branding and academia. According to the organisation: A Business Superbrand has established the finest reputation in its field. It offers significant emotional and/or tangible advantages over its competitors, which (consciously or sub-consciously) customers want,
recognise, and are confident about investing in. Last year 50 companies gained recognition, among these Lego, Nokia and TDC DK.
Manpower is Denmark''s leading provider of temporary and flexible workforces, employing 4000 people each year. The company has grown by 100% since 1999 and nearly doubled its share of the market. According to country manager,
Lene Andersen, brand awareness is key to this success: Building brand equity has been a key part of Manpower''s strategy in Denmark since we were
established here in 1962. We have two targets for this - our customers and candidates. Everything we do is focused on providing customers with quality, value and speed of delivery; and candidates with interesting, varied job opportunities.
Andersen continues: The Manpower brand is also associated with innovative solutions. Using new technology has allowed us to shape the market in Denmark; but we never lose sight of the personal touch: all our applicants
get a call within 24 working hours after applying for at job at Manpower. No other agency can match this.
Managing director and head of the Superbrands Denmark council, Henning Rouchmann, comments: Manpower is a worthy winner of this award. The importance of strong branding for products or services targeting the consumer has long been recognised. It has, however, taken longer for
companies targeting businesses and organisations to realise that branding excellence is also crucial for them. Manpower recognises this and its strong business performance is testament to its approach.
The Superbrands organisation operates in Australia, Denmark, Dubai, UK, Philippines, France, Holland, Ireland, Malaysia, Spain and USA. It identifies the world''s strongest brands and helps explain how they have
managed to achieve this success. The book and website explores the history, development and achievements of these brands, providing a precious insight into their branding strategy and the results of this.
