Alexa rankings of the top job sites for August

Overall it was a down month for many job sites, with 48 sites (38.1%) experienced a ranking gain this month, while 78 sites (61.9%) had a ranking decline.

The TopJobSites.com Ranking Index was down 3.49% overall for the month. The end of summer marks one of two traditional periods where job site traffic lags behind the rest of the Internet (with the other period being peak Xmas shopping season), so gains are expected again in September and October before the holiday shopping season kicks in.

However, while many sites were down for the month, category leaders CollegeGrad.com (college category), Dice (industry niche category) and LatPro (diversity category) all showed impressive gains for the month (16%,7% and 6% respectively).
