Having joined SEC in 2013, Carly has led the drive towards enhanced professional development within SEC, which includes the introduction of the SEC Academy in 2015. With over 20 years’ experience working within the recruitment industry, Carly has a wealth of knowledge within the talent and people development side of recruitment and will be bringing this to the HR Forum.
Speaking on her appointment, Carly said “I am delighted to have taken this position and can’t wait to start engaging with fellow likeminded professionals, discussing and debating some of the key challenges we all face, and how we can all learn from each other. The aim of those within our industry should always be to have aspirations of developing recruitment as a profession of choice. That’s what I want to help be part of with the APSCo HR Forum.
Having worked in a sales environment, then moving into learning & development within recruitment, I hope to bring a great combination of somebody who understands the balance between commercial & people priorities.”
Commenting on the appointment, Ann Swain, Chief Executive at APSCo, said:
“We at APSCo look forward to welcoming Carly into her new role as Chair of APSCo’s HR Forum. Any recruitment company is only as good as its people, and by sharing best practice in this area with like-minded individuals, recruitment HR professionals can ensure they are able to attract, retain and develop the brightest talent to gain a real competitive advantage. APSCo has long enjoyed a close relationship with SEC and Carly’s reputation as a true expert in her field is widely recognised. As such, I have no doubt that she will draw on her extensive experience to add incredible value to future HR Forum meetings.”
