With over five years of active participation in PBSA activities, Susie has made significant contributions as the Europe Council Chair and a member of the PBSA Board. She also serves as the Board Liaison for the Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Group, underscoring her dedication to fostering inclusive work environments.
Susie is the Chief Operating Officer at Matrix, a UK-based workforce management solutions provider. She founded the original risk mitigation business, Security Watchdog, with her family in 1998. With over 35 years of experience in risk mitigation, due diligence, and background checking, Susie has a comprehensive understanding of both startup dynamics and large corporate operations. Security Watchdog was sold to Capita plc in 2012 and then to Matrix in 2023, where Susie now oversees service delivery across Matrix group operations.

Susie holds a degree in Modern Languages from The University of Exeter and possesses dual German and UK nationality. Her diverse background and extensive industry experience equip her well to serve as the PBSA's Secretary and Treasurer.
Founded in 2003, the Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA) is a non-profit trade association representing over 880 member companies engaged in employment and tenant background screening across the United States and globally. The PBSA was established to promote high ethical standards and performance in the screening industry. Member companies, ranging from Fortune 100 enterprises to small local businesses, conduct millions of employment-related and tenant background checks annually. As consumer reporting agencies, PBSA member companies are regulated by the FTC and CFPB under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)
