Global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has announced the appointment of Anthony McNulty as a Managing Director in its People, Reward & Performance (PRP) Practice. Mr. McNulty joins a growing team focused on helping organisations turn workforce strategy into a driver of business value.
Based in Glasgow, Mr. McNulty brings over 30 years of experience advising boards and senior leadership on aligning reward, workforce design, and organisational performance. He has held senior roles across consulting and industry, with a focus on workforce transformation, agile job architectures, performance-linked reward models, and strategic workforce planning.
The addition of Mr. McNulty is testament to the significant growth potential of the PRP practice, and the commitment to investment in high-calibre talent to amlify the growth strategy of the firm. Since its launch with the appointment of Alasdair Walls in 2024, the PRP Practice has won numerous large-scale mandates across the EMEA region, supported by A&M’s global footprint. With a permanent presence in London, Glasgow, Zurich, Dubai and Amsterdam, the Practice plans to continue expanding.
Anthony McNulty said: “Unlike conventional models where large consultancies reengineer business structures around people issues or niche firms that offer purely analytical solutions, A&M’s PRP Practice delivers insight-led, execution-focussed advice. The team combines strategic thinking with practical delivery to solve complex workforce challenges in real time. Business and workforce dynamics are changing. The rise of skills-based organisations, increased ESG scrutiny, and pressures on workforce ROI require clients to have a partner who can align people strategy with commercial objectives and address these transformational challenges with innovative perspectives.”
“As organisations navigate a rapidly evolving talent landscape, the workforce [LC1] advisory space is undergoing fundamental change. We see an inflection point, where leadership teams increasingly seek new thinking from strategic, outcomes-driven partners,” commented Marvin Rust, Managing Director and Head of A&M Tax Europe. “Anthony’s appointment is another important step in building a market-leading team that delivers strategic, innovative and action-oriented workforce advice. His deep experience across reward, performance, and organisational design makes him a valuable addition as we continue to grow.”
Ernesto “Ernie” Perez, Global Practice Leader of A&M Tax, added: “The expansion of our People, Reward & Performance Practice with talent like Anthony reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering comprehensive solutions that address our clients’ needs globally. Leading businesses seek premier advisory services that will bolster their performance and enhance efficiencies. A superior people strategy is an integral part of achieving such results.”
