As compulsory CPC (Certificates of Professional Competence) driving and theory tests loom on the horizon, leading driver and industrial recruiter, Transline-Resource has created a new Compliance Team to uphold its high standards of HGV driving and training.
Appointed to spearhead the three man team is new Compliance Manager, Heidi Sowrey, who comes to the post fresh from a career in the legal industry, where she meticulously checked property and financial documentation.
Based at the group’s Halifax Head Office, Heidi will be responsible for ensuring all Transline-Resource HGV drivers adhere to strict government regulations by providing documentation relating to driver inductions, training, driving hours, fixed penalties and accident reports.
Heidi and the team will then log all documentation electronically to ensure efficient and complete compliance across the board.
Delighted with her new role, Bradford resident, Heidi is looking forward to making an impact. She said: “I’m relishing the challenge I’ve been set and will work hard to uphold Transline-Resource’s impeccable driver record for years to come.
“It’s such an exciting, fast-paced working environment and the colleagues I’ve met so far have been supportive and friendly. I’ll no doubt tread on a few toes but that’s the nature of the game and something I’m well prepared for.”
Transline-Resource Managing Director, Jon Taylor added: “Heidi’s thoroughness, excellent IT skills and highly persuasive manner meant she was the perfect candidate to head up our Compliance Team. And I’ve no doubt the legal knowledge she has acquired will prove invaluable to us as we prepare for new regulations related to driver training.
“On behalf of everyone at Transline-Resource, I’d like to welcome her to the company and look forward to seeing the benefits of her work.”
